Chapter History

• Alpha Chi was the first National Greek organization to be chartered at Murray State in 1942.  We had 26 Charter Members. Since that time we have initiated 2231 members!

• Alpha Chi has been named Tri Sigma Chapter of the Year six times : 1961-62; 1963-64; 1984-85; 2007-08; 2010-11; 2011-12 and Chapter of the Triennium for 2010-13.

 

• ​Alpha Chi awards two scholarships annually. In the 2018-2019 school year, our current Education Director, Maggie Haines, and our current Vice President of Operations, Paige Stallings, both received the Jan Jones Wilson Scholarship. Our past Education Director, Katie Watson, and our current Treasurer, Kendra Shepard, both received the Deanna Hughes Parker Scholarship.

 

• In 2019, Alpha Chi was given the following MSU Greek Awards : Outstanding Educational Program, Outstanding New Member Program, and our very own Hannah Huckeby was given Murray State's Greek Woman of the Year award.

 

• In 2017, Alpha Chi won the MSU Greek Award of Outstanding New Member Programming and Outstanding New Member Education.
